These new pieces are unique and handcrafted-- from Italy's Bitossi ceramics. The vase and platter were first introduced in 1953, but now they've been reissued and you can buy them here. I love the mid-century feel and intense color. Bottom picture is a classic Bitossi piece available through hi+lo modern ceramics.

Oh my that blue is just gorgeous. You know this reminds me of a fondue pot my parents bought back when they were jet setters and went skiing in France and Italy in the 60's. It has the exact same blue and texture. I wonder if it is! Gee, I wonder if it is still floating around somewhere back home.
I love the richness of the color!
The last image is so lovely...great find.
Isn't this a powerhouse of a color? I hope you can find that old fondue pot-- better still-- try to find their old photos of 60s France and Italy. How cool!
love these...sigh. the birdies are my fav. nothing's better than mid-centry ceramics.
Good call on the photos. Man, I'm sure there are tons of awesome old polaroids stuffed into some old box. I found a box of old pins they had from different ski resorts. Loved those!!!
