This artist lives and works in Brooklyn and I love the attention to detail despite a washy style. The portrait is interesting and the "cluttered" backgrounds and busy rooms work well with the bright colors and impressionistic style of her painting. There is something really nice about the chair too-- great color, stark subject. These remind me of "sketches" that a 19th century traveler in England might have made in their sketchbook-- quick, bright, detailed enough to tell a story.
