Since the 1980s, Morris has been making studies of different American cities, which she interprets in screenprints, or installations (middle picture), or paintings (top image). I love the pop colors and fragmented shapes. But what really got me interested was a recent picture in a shelter magazine showing one of her graphic paintings (the face, above). I'm always interested in portraits and I like this treatment. It reminds me of other favorites including Chuck Close. See more of Morris on artnet.
