Maurice Bebb was a friend of mine. When I was in high school, he was quite elderly but making prints almost daily. He showed me his proceess of etching copper plates, then inking the plates (sometimes in multiple colors) and pulling the prints. He was masterful with color. Watching him create his etchings was inspiring and gave me a life-long love for process and production. Bebb was a member of the Prairie Print Makers and his work can be found on eBay regularly or at the website Maurice Bebb. His popular prints of birds and European scenes have amazing detail and show a master craftsman at work.

I love it!
I have several of his prints that my aunt passed on to me. They are lovely. I appreciate this information you have shared with all!
I wish I was as lucky as that! Listen, if you ever feel like you'd like to sell these, let me know as I'd love to have them. He was a great craftsman and artist. --JIM
i have a beautiful drawing done in 1951 called chickadees that looks like it was done in chalk. i reframed it and have it in my dinning room. i found it at a junk store in alabama and paid 14.00. i just knew it was beautiful i had no idea it was from a popular artist. dannadoss@yahoo.com
i have a chickadees that appears to be an original done in chalk or colored pencil. it is from 1951
I have acquired a beautiful inked ( I think) printand found the artist on ebay. M.R. Bebb. Then not knowing much about computers and how to look things up I came across this site. I am looking for more info on this print and may be interested in selling it. It's called " Canada Grey" and done by M.R.Bebb. Can you help me with the info I need? Thanks, Roxanne

I have 2 of Mr. Bebb's delightful etchings on silk dated 1967 - Redstart 21/150
