I'm amazed at the quality of design at Ikea. Production quality might be another issue, but when it comes to design, they offer fabrics that can really compete with higher-end designers. There's nothing especially innovative, but they've hit a certain modern-chic niche that is unsurpassed in their market. Ikea is the mass-production version of so many small design houses-- they're producing on a large scale what is typically only found in small boutique settings. Wonderful. Go to Ikea.
