I love looking at Goodwin's drawings, especially these Red Studies from 2004-06. Goodwin is quite established and respected as an artist, with shows all around the world (he lives and works in London). This series of red watercolors is an attempt to enlarge the portrait process and capture more about the subject while still working with single images. In some, the superimposed images give you the sense of time, movement, and the drama of the individual. I really like these beautiful drawings.
