If you're in Chicago, you absolutely should not miss seeing 9 of David Hockney's Woldgate Woods (2006) pictures now on view at the Arts Club of Chicago until July 18. Hockney is so intelligent, and his painting so relevant, that I am always in awe of what he does. Hockney is coming to the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art on July 8 for a "conversation." If you're very very lucky, you can get tickets to this even via the Chicago Humanities Festival. I'll be there!

how strange ...I JUST looked at this book yesterday and loved Hockney's latest works. ...however, I will not make it to the show.
