STUART HAYGARTH London Design Festival 2007

You owe it to yourself to take a look at the innovative designers and their products from the London Design Festival. “Many of the most appealing pieces on display were handcrafted. Peter Ting, a designer for Asprey, the luxery goods retailer, offered an explanation. ‘There’s a debate going on in London between the virtues of digital and handmade goods,’ he said, and the appeal of one-offs — to both designers and consumers — is that ‘they’re beautiful and unique.’”

Pictured above is the TAIL LIGHT chandelier (that's right, TAIL LIGHTS!) and the TIDE chandelier by Stuart Haygarth, who has used other humble materials to make spectacular products. Ingenious.
