Elisabeth at fine little day sent me a great artist tip. I've not seen the work of Jockum Nordström before, but his style is heavily influenced by both global and Swedish folk art. Somewhat whimsical, his works also have a poignancy that gives them weight beyond a simple illustration. He lives and works in Stockholm. Ah, Jockum, you have great taste.
I'm very much a fan of Jockum Nordstrom's work, unfortunately the man is almost a complete unknown in the anglophone world it seems.
